Overview of Old Gui-ob Church Ruins

Catarman Church Ruins is famous for the name Ruins of Gui-ob Church located in Barangay Bonbon, 16 kilometers from the center of Catarman town. What remains are ruins of adobe walls, belfry and convent that are testimonials to the devastating 1871 earthquake and volcanic eruption which wiped out the illustrious town of Catarman established earlier as a Spanish settlement in 1697.

"Great place to dine. The Bistro served delicious entrees and side dishes. Generous portions, flavorful, presented well. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. The environment was clean and comfortable. People came in for orders to go...seemed like locals. I had sweet plantains, sautéed vegetables..my husband had beans and rice, & lchicken breast. Was excellent. Seating was available inside or outside....
