Overview of Gamefishing Expedition

Gamefishing here is best from December to August. Camiguin Island is blessed with the availability of local big gamefishing opportunities. Giant trevally (Mamsa), barracuda, and wahoo (tanigue) are found year round. Sailfish can be spotted from March to June and tuna from July to October.

Not only is the Philippines an archipelago made up of 7,107 islands, it also lies along the pelagic route of some of the world’s most sought-after game fishes. This makes the Philippines one of gamefishing’s last great frontiers. The warm waters of the Philippines incorporate almost 2,000,000 sq km (772,000 sq mi) of fishing grounds, ranking it 12th in the world in terms of fish production. These grounds are inhabited by about 2,400 fish species, including many game fish such as giant tuna, tanguigue (Spanish mackerel), king mackerel, great barracuda, swordfish, and marlin.

Lauretta J. wrote about Glasse Hiking Trail:

"This is a fairly easy hike accessible through the small community of Boetica on the south east of the island. It is easy walking for about 45 minutes with a lot of opportunities to stop and indulge in the breath taking view of the sea. Be prepared to get your feet wet! you do have to cross 1 or 2 streams on the way (A great way to refill your water bottles by the way!) 3 pools formed in volcanic rock gives you the perfect chance to 'soak up' some sea salt water which is awesome for curing cuts and bruises!! enjoy
