The Ceiba of Vieques is approximately between 300 to 400 years old. The Ceiba is an impressive tree due to its immense size, roots and the thorns on its branches. Usually you see dozens of wild horses resting and eating around the Ceiba. It is surrounded by a striking landscape and upfront there is a beach. This area is recommended for enjoying picnics as well as the nature while watching the small planes land. It is located in the northwest of Vieques.
"They don't promote this much on the island, but the roots are huge, and worth the drive. Easy to find right of the highway, if you are looking for it, but don't expect to see any signs for it."
"Our group of 8 thought Ethnic was the best place to enjoy the beach, sand, food and sun. The owners and bartenders were stellar at keeping us hydrated, making sure we had everything we needed and great conversations were had."
