Overview of Mt. Oma The hike to the top of Mt. Oma, 1555 ft above sea level (2nd highest peak), will reward you with breathtaking views of Kosrae's lower areas and waters from Utwe Harbor to the Lelu causeway. The hike yields some of the most beautiful sites in Kosrae with tropical fauna, flora and cascading waterfalls, WWII caves and Japanese tunnels, and few feet shy of Mt. Finkol. The tour may take 6 to 7 hours. Also available are short hikes of 45 minutes. Keep an eye out for the Tuhram, Kosrae's state bird, large monitor lizards sleeping on the tree branches and fruit bats hanging upside down from the branches. User Reviews Have you been here?
